Erin Kong is a Phoenix-based interdisciplinary artist who finds it awkward writing in the third person. She recently released her debut poetry collection, korean mourning rituals. She holds a B.M. in Performance (Music Theatre) and a minor in Asian Pacific American Studies at Arizona State University. A staged reading of her play, War Brides, debuted last fall in Tempe, AZ. through Binary Theatre Company. She was last seen as Mary in Stray Cat Theatre's production of Two Mile Hollow. She is a co-founder of Desert Diwata, an organization dedicated to advocating and providing a safe space for Asian and Pacific Islander through art, storytelling, and community engagement. She is currently working as assistant to the director for The Phoenix Theatre Company's production of Kinky Boots. She is a certified #ABGenius.
